חדשות אופן אופיס (9/5/2008)

ברוכים הבאים למהדורה השניה של חדשות אופן אופיס. נראה שחדשות אופן אופיס הולכות להיות מסורת, ולכן החלטתי לצרף תאריך לכותרת הפוסט כדי להקל על החיפוש בעתיד.

• התיקון לבאג המספרים הערבים במקום ההודים הוכנס לקוד באופן רשמי וסומן כ-verified בגרסה 2.4.1. אחרי אובונטו ודביאן, גם מנדריבה העלו את התיקון לבאג לחבילה אצלם. כך שמבחינתי העסק טופל. אין כמו לחץ של הקהילה… וחשוב להמשיך עם זה בנושאים אחרים.

• נושא ה-Zoom Slider שדיווחתי עליו בעדכון הקודם תוקן בנתיים בגרסה 3.0. באג 85715 (ניתן חפש תיאור שלו בהמשך) סומן להיות מתוקן בגרסה 3.0. ועוד חמישה נושאים (37190, 37917, 50657, 55927, 86334) אמורים להיות מתוקנים בגרסאות ההמשך (3.x). כך שנראה שיש סיכוי לתמיכה טובה יותר בעברית בגרסה הרשמית.

• יונתן בן אברהם מחברת טק מערכות פרסם את הצעת תוכנית העבודה לקראת חידוש המימון של משרד האוצר לעבודה על אופןן אופיס (מתוכנן להמשך 2008 ול-2009). ניתן להשאיר תגובות והערות בפורום אופן אופיס בתפוז.

• סאן שחררו גרסה נוספת של ה-ODF Plugin for Microsoft Office. הגרסה משפרת את יכולות הייבוא והייצוא של אופיס לפורמטים של אופן אופיס. זאת יכולה להיות התחלה טובה להרגיל אנשים לעבוד עם פורמטים פתוחים.

• בחזית דיווחי הבאגים התחלתי לעבור על באגים שאלן מטק מערכות ושוש פורבס היו מעורבים בהם וצרפתי את רובם לרשימה למטה. היא כרגע מכילה יותר מ-40 נושאים שקשורים לעברית ודו כיווניות. ואני באמת אשמח לעזרה באיתור באגים נוספים כדי להוסיף לרשימה (מי שרוצה לעזור יכול למצוא פרטים כאן).

לבקשת המגיב מהפעם הקודמת, מצורפים גם תיאורי הבאגים כדי להקל על אנשים שקוראים את הרשימה.
